Nordic Monsters is a series of artful reimaginings of old nordic folklore monsters, drawn by Bjarke Johansen.

Brøndmand (or Brøndmanden, meaning the "Well Man") is a malevolent bogeyman or water spirit from Nordic folklore and mythology. He was traditionally said to inhabit deep, open village wells and grab children or animals with long, dark fingers if they leaned too far over the edge, dragging them down into the watery depths.
